The decision to begin psychotherapy can arise from distress, but it also demonstrates love for oneself—a desire for enduring relief, and more. My approach aims to awaken and harmonize with the inherent ability to heal and grow that is present in us all.

Effective psychotherapy invites one to put words to experience in the presence of a caring and carefully listening practitioner. Patients in my practice are heard on multiple levels. Immediate pressing needs are discerned and treated alongside issues that run deeper and may echo from previous life chapters. Many people have never experienced this type of listening before. Being heard and understood in this way can bring peace in short order.

Through psychotherapy, symptoms that drive hurt are also understood, rather than simply offloaded. Speaking about symptoms, and coming to understand what they are expressing, can help them to remit in an enduring way. Authentic peace and stability are made possible in turn. And within the very symptoms that cause suffering, we may even find whispers of desire, like lights marking a path to more vitality and beauty.

If you would like to begin psychotherapy, or have questions about whether coming for sessions may be helpful for you, please contact me by email or phone. We will discuss your experience and what may be possible in our work together.
